@Yish42 Yeah I saw the extra jet while poking around.
Nothing against clipping parts, of course.
@Graingy the original cockpit is too much meh to be used in a fighter jet i guess
Well too late now,but you're right i could have put more fuel tanks however when i was building it i was too lazy (hmm too lazy to put more fuel tanks but not too lazy to enter a challenge lol) to put many fuel tanks so i just put one of them jet engine at the front,so with a total of 5 jet engines it's easily understandable that its range is very low
@Yish42 I initially forgot about it too, until I realised that Monarchii's (disqualified) submission, among other more critical things, did not use the original cockpit since it had neither lookback nor cockpit audio.
While post-submission changes that alter the actual performance are not allowed, for future non-challenge reference you could perhaps use the bottom of the craft to hide some fuel tanks (as fuel tank bottoms are mostly flat). That would increase range and move CoM forward without being too obvious.
@Graingy dang I'm sorry i did NOT think about that
You're one smart fella
I'll re-upload it like you said, thank you for allowing me kind space grain
I know its very unstable i had difficulty with the center of weight and center of lift,i only saw this challenge from Monarchii and i wanted to make a silly submission for this silly challenge.
One again,thank :D
Alrighty.
I'll get this out of the way: Unfortunately disqualified as the cockpit has been changed. This cannot be done without part modification (setting to primary), so breaks challenge rules.
However, as this is visual and does not impact craft performance I'll allow resubmission if attached to a new cockpit. That is, save the rest of the craft as subassembly and attach to the cockpit from a "new airplane" (cockpit and two blocks).
Aside from that, very good work.
Stability at low speeds is... not great, especially when nosing down. Seeing as the challenge is to make a craft without modified parts, not a replica, a maneuverable MiG-25 isn't losing you any points, but unstable performance will.
Generally a very good craft. The technique used in the nose is clever (if a bit janky in at the tip, heh).
Cockpit notwithstanding, I'd wager this would've been in the lead so far.
