Happy 4th July!

This is the Prototype Model of the Joint Republican Aviation JR JF4 Yuuyake "Aisu". The fighter variant will be hopefully released in around an hour, or soon after combat trialling is successful.

Important - Deactivate AG 8 ON TAKEOFF
AND LANDING
AND TO FLY MANUALLY UNDER 1000m (3000ft).

This deactivates the crash prevention override that is set up for default use by an AI to prevent accidental loss when autonomously controlling the plane in AI based combat.

YF4 on the runway at Yeager Airport

First built as a response to the Dogfight Tournament and to threats from the UCCAM Confederacy, there was a rise in demand for a new jet stealth fighter aircraft designed to perform High G maneuvers.

As twilight approached the horizon, an anonymous fighter aircraft lowered its gear and touched down on the pitch black tarmac of the airbase runway, its red and blue prototype paint scheme reflecting the beautiful sunset. The ground crew cheered to meet the test pilot as he raised the canopy after a successful flight.

The project was to remake the airframe of an old ROFP-AF Sakura airframe from scratch with state of the art avionics and make the aircraft be fully operable with or without a pilot.

Functionality and safety were key here. Missions were soon stretching to over 16 hours long. This called for upgrades to the autopilot and ways of preventing accidental crashes.

The airframe is fitted with the revolutionary Fortune 3 AI Crash Prevention system which will override the aircraft's manual controls in order to forcefully orient and pull up when the aircraft reaches an altitude of under 1000m in order to prevent the aircraft from impacting the terrain.

This is primarily used in but not limited to AI combat where the AI may attempt skeptical maeuvers that may endanger the airframe, or prevent an unconscious pilot from risking losses to the aircraft.

Do note that on takeoff it is recommended to disable AG8, As the airframe will attempt to right and pitch more than 180°, causing it to turn in a spiral climb.
It will not endanger the aircraft, but is not recommended. Also note that this is not a commercial airliner waiting for a free spot to land over a fully packed airport, nor would you probably enjoy being slightly dizzy.

Inputs and Controls:

Ignore any instances of amp; or lt;, they are text formatting bugs i have no control over.

AG8 - AI mode

Automatic: Vertical thrust vectoring

Normal aircraft controls apply when AG8 is off and plane is above 1000m

Brake: Airbrake

N/A:Armament

AG7: Emergency Parachute

Throttle: Afterburners activate at 50% and 80%

AltitudeAgl < 300: - Flaps are automatically deployed

(Activate8 = 1) ? 0 : Pitch - Leading Edge Slats will only input when AI mode is off, to help the primitive SP AI adjust to the aircraft.

Automatic Safety Speed Limiters:

AI [AG8] : Aircraft top speed limited to 385m/s on AI mode. This is to help the maneuverability of the aircraft.
Input: Activate8 = 1 &TAS > 385

Main Airbrake : Speed is reduced when airbrake is applied.

Input: Brake

Low Altitude speed limiter: Below 6500m the highest speed the aircraft can reach is 550m/s. This is to stop the air resistance at low altitudes inflicting damage on the craft.

Input: AltitudeAgl < 6500 &TAS < 550

Turn rate speed limiters: To prevent unusual behavior and stress on the airframe, the turn rate of the aircraft is limited to 447m/s (1000mph)
Input: Pitch < -0.75 &TAS > 447 andPitch > 0.75 &TAS > 447

The JR YF4 Yuuyake Prototype variant of is a technical demonstration model designed for demonstrating a new revolutionary anti crash system. This is the version you will obtain if you choose to download this aircraft.

Hey y'all! This is my first ever fully panelled aircraft, repainted, as well as my first plane to make extended use of Funky Trees

  • By all means please feel free to leave any feedback or design tips you may want to share!

Thank you for your patience, and I hope you have a good day!

Sincerely,

The (original) service production fighter will soon be linked here. It will be released as a successor to the Dogfight Tournament around now. Do wait for it, it is beautiful as well...
For now, the link will do absolutely nothing, so click away!

Also here's a video of it in action, if you would like to preview it.

Apologies, if my aircraft doesn't run well on your device. It is my first fully panelled airframe and tested on low physics for I lack my NASA Supercomputer and probably can't afford one. Tell me if you have any difficulties using it.

Regardless, I hope you enjoy using this aircraft, and have a great day nonetheless!

Instruction unclear! Had a blast anyway though. This thing flies like a... actually I'm not too sure what to compare it too. Well oiled tuna?
