ooo im first, been a hot minute
@TheUltimatePlaneLover
Yea, mabye
Not sure though
@CrestelAeronautics I could be wrong but I think TC War actually ended Crestan Conflict (which had been going on for some time before until the threat of war lead to us reunifying)
@CrestelAeronautics sorry but I use Fandom for The New Order: Last Days of Europe
@RepublicofWrightIsles
Another war?
Mabye, mabye, I have yet to meet someone that can outsmart ADMMs
@TheUltimatePlaneLover
And the Crestan Conflict
@RepublicofWrightIsles Eh, right now we're in peacetime, and some well-deserved at that.
Around this time last year, a series consisting of SP's longest wars began, TC War, TB War, and S-War.
@TheUltimatePlaneLover Yw.
@BOSKnight I've been well, thanks :D
@RepublicofWrightIsles uh
@TheUltimatePlaneLover @BOSKnight who said we cant start another war without monarchii?
@TheUltimatePlaneLover sad… I hath grown since last talking we did. How have you been?
@BOSKnight Yep, he seems to be inactive as of right now
@TheUltimatePlaneLover the M-War was fun! But has been winded down by the Monarchii thing…
@Karroc9522 Gonna have to agree with you there
@BOSKnight Upon seeing thy's previous aliases, yes, yes I do.
@TheUltimatePlaneLover @RepublicofWrightIsles I have definitely seen PEAs that look the same as the 497 part version lol
@TheUltimatePlaneLover ok. You remember me?
@BOSKnight Per the rules of PEA, technically yes.
@TheUltimatePlaneLover All of Dot’s planes are technically PEA right?
@SuperSuperTheSylph Noice :D
@RepublicofWrightIsles Eh, both are good. What I like about PEAs however is the simplistic nature with customizability and often decent flying, as opposed to some builds which just go overkill with the looks but are like 2000 parts or don't fly very competitively.
But both are good!
@TheUltimatePlaneLover oh ok then :))
btw,i am making the IA-58 Pucara right now
PEAs are better than high quality aircraft in my opinion
@SuperSuperTheSylph @CrestelAeronautics @Karroc9522
[PEA]'s not dead! Kind of...
The concept of PEAs themselves is virtually immortal- aircraft that prioritize simplicity without sacrificing looks are (or at least should be) a staple of SimplePlanes. What died off however is the PEA label, for a few reasons:
-Many felt the "PEA" tag was unnecessary and used simply for clout/upvotes, since pretty much any plane that has low parts and looks good could qualify as a PEA. However, PEAs definitely sported another layer of complexity which even I couldn't quite explain. A good example of this would be my "X-Part" series aircraft like say this Attacker. Despite lacking the PEA label (along with asthetic features like shiny windshields and thicc wings which were common with many authentic PEAs), there's not really a lot one could say to disqualify this as a PEA, hence a perfect example of the killing controversy.
-Monarchii kinda slowly went inactive for reasons unknown to... well, anyone right now. Pretty sure he had real-life stuff going on during his first absence, but as of recently I'm in the dark about where Chii is or what he's doing. But either way, his slow withdraw from the community was probably the fatal blow to PEA's mass expansion, on account of the fact he was the founder and one of the best makers of PEAs.
-And then there's just natural society; trends lose popularity over time (even if they don't downright die out for good), and PEA had a good six-month-ish-long run before eventually things slowly winded down. PEAs are still around here and there though, as evident here.
