DHC XFA-349

Document I: Description

Document I.A: Synopsis

The XFA-349 is a single-seat prototype multirole fighter developed by DHC for the German Luftwaffe and is its thirteenth aircraft. It is primarily based on the Lockheed Martin FB-22 Strike Raptor and BAE Tempest designs, albeit without internal weapon bays.

Document I.B: Design

The XFA-349 incorporates an experimental enclosed cockpit that uses cameras to see outside. This experimental Darkhound system is called COINED2, which stands for Cockpit Interactive Electrodynamic Display. It also features a new Wilhelm engine designated XV.SDG that can push it to near-hypersonic speeds, and to compensate for the excessive heat the airframe is made 90% of titanium.

Document I.C: Armament

The DHC has retained the H5 weapon suite from its predecessor.

Document I.D: Production

The XFA-328 is mostly intended for technology demonstration of the COINED2 system and the new XV.SDG engines, though DHC plans to set the aircraft into production stage to gradually replace its aging predecessors. The nickname given by its test pilots was "Ember". It only has 3 prototypes in mid-2026, however the DHC plans to build at least 150 production units by early 2027.

Hello, fellow dogfighters! I apologize for being inactive for too long, I had too much fun building this and too lazy to type up until now that I didn't get to upload this last year's Christmas. Yes, this was supposed to be some sort of Christmas build, but I didn't plan to give this a Christmas livery, so it only has standard Darkhound livery. It's basically some sort of bootleg BAE Tempest and FB-22 Strike Raptor thing with COFFIN lights, and I got too lazy to add internal bays so I settled for external racks. With all that said, have a good morningdaynight and a d i o s.
