When the leadership of BAI learned that a new aircraft had been developed at OKB IR, it was decided to somehow acquire a few of them. As a result, several units were purchased for the private air force of Banana Aerospace Industries, as a cheaper and simpler alternative to the complex and expensive FB-2, which, moreover, was still in demand by clients. The mission remained the same – breaching the air defenses of our esteemed neighbors and business partners, striking ground targets, and, if necessary, engaging in aerial combat.
After the STEALTHY FIGHTER 3 M units were delivered to Somalia, their main drawback became apparent, prompting a modification program for all existing units aimed at improving their stability. This was achieved by significantly altering the vertical stabilizers – increasing their area and angle of cant – which made it possible to eliminate the complex, expensive, and frankly somewhat restrictive stabilization system. However, despite all the efforts of the engineering department and the monkeys on the assembly line, the SF-3M (may I call it that?) still remained a capricious bird, prone to spinning out when exceeding certain angles of attack.
Weapons integration for BAI PAF use was also carried out. The key changes included the installation of a gun pod under the nose and the replacement of the cruise missile in the central bay with three Mk.83 bombs.
(Unfortunately, the budget was not allocated for plush Kasane Teto and "Baltika 9" can.)
