Yakolev/Mil YAK-31A "Pushover"

Little brother to the TU-128 Fiddler, the Yakolev/Mil YAK-31A was a slow, but agile interceptor designed to shoot down U.S. Anti-submarine aircraft over the black sea during the 70's. It had a top speed of about 605 knots and a stall speed of 150 knots, with a 4000NM range. The Yak 31A is a modification of the usual Yak 31 with 2 air-ground missiles for use in naval war zones. The aircraft was plagued with issues, that ended up resulting in the deaths of 40 people at the 1976 Paris Airshow. Only 50 were ever made, with none in preservation today.
