[About Fiat G.55 Serie 1 "Centauro"]

Wikipedia
The Fiat G.55 Serie 1 "Centauro" is a fighter aircraft operated by the Italian Air Force from World War II to the postwar period.
The fighter aircraft equipped by the Italian Air Force in the early stages of World War II included the Fiat G.50, which was an obsolete design with an open cockpit and other obsolete features. Development of a fighter to replace this is underway. It was to be equipped with the Fiat RA.1500 engine, produced under license from the German DB605 engine. Fiat, Macchi, and Regiano each developed their own versions, all of which were called "Serie 5" because their model numbers ended in 5.
Fiat developed the G.55 "Centauro", which made its first flight on April 30, 1942. The G.55 had excellent maneuverability, high-altitude performance, and armament, and was considered "the best fighter of the Axis powers" by the Luftwaffe, which tested it.
The Italian Air Force placed a large order for this excellent fighter. However, Italy's industrial capacity could not meet the demand. Due in part to the production of engines, the G.55 was not ready for the front line until May 1943. Three months later, Italy surrendered.
Although the G.55 was introduced too late, it was used as a fighter and trainer aircraft by the Italian Air Force after the war because of its excellence.

[About the work]
The cockpit is roughly reproduced.
I have not verified this because I do not have Simple Planes VR. Sorry.
Special thanks to KingOfTypos for initiating and inviting us to collaborate on this project and to Tonnkatsu for providing valuable materials.
