C46 Curtiss Commando with cockpit, originally designed as a pressurized airliner wartime needs saw it mainly used as a transport aircraft. However the plane gained an unflattering reputation do to a number of issues most famously poor fuel tank fire proofing. However its ability to carry more cargo than the C47 proved to be useful. C46 are being used to the present day hauling cargo in the arctic.
