NAS 332 Super Puma is a helicopter made by Aérospatiale (now Airbus Helicopters) with 4 blades, dual and medium-sized engines. The first Heli flight in 1978 was an updated version of the Aérospatiale SA 330 Puma. Super Puma proved to be very popular, recorded in the period July 1981 to April 1987 an average of 3 helicopters were produced for ordering from both military and civilian every day.

Service For RI-1

PT Dirgantara Indonesia (formerly PT IPTN) with Aerospatiale license also produces SA 330 and US 332 for domestic consumers. The NAS 332 Super Puma Presidential Helicopter maintenance is under the auspices of the State Secretariat, with operations operated by the Air Squadron 45 based at Halim Perdanakusumah as the main operator. This air squadron is only used specifically for the President and Vice President when visiting remote corners of Indonesia by helicopter. Squadron 45 is fairly new, because it was only inaugurated in 2011, before the Presidential Super Puma helicopter became a 17 VIP / VVIP Squadron storefront.
