Controls: Roll for steering, Throttle for prop. Landing Gear to raise ladder.
This particular style of the motor banca is used in inter island touring, colloquially known as 'island hopping'. Found in Cebu and other islands in the Philippines.
Note:
That odd brown thing in the front of the boat is actually a gangplank, used in boarding the boat in ports. The ladders are for leaving the boat on the water.
The brown stick on the right side is locally called 'sagwan' and is used to push on the shallow seafloor.
The boat drivers usually use a steering stick, or sometimes they install car steering wheels, depending on the salvaged parts.
Speaking of salvaged parts, large bancas with a capacity of 15 and above use larger 4 cylinder diesel engines from trucks.
They install the engines along with the gearbox and clutch, so larger bancas (with capacities of 30 and above) usually use the the 1st and 2nd gear, along with the reverse.
The banca's propeller experiences less wear than the commercially made all in one engines, because it runs at a lower RPM and hence does not stall. (by stall I mean the props creating bubbles of air)

"timon" is the name of the "pambot's" rudder, and "timonero" is someone who steers the boat.
