MiG-21Bis Fishbed-N

Here's a scale replica of the MiG-21Bis (Fishbed-N), a greatly improved version of the MiG-21, which was made in the 60's to 70's and used in the Vietnam War.

The MiG-21Bis is a multirole-fighter, mainly used for interception of enemy bombers and fighters and also for attacking ground units. It was the answer to the new american F-16 jets.

I gave it a very standard multirole-loadout with two Interceptor medium- to long-range radar-guided missiles, two big unguided 500 lbs bombs and of course the main gun at the bottom of the MiG-21Bis. It is also equipped with the optional rocket boosters, which can be activated with AG1. They consume quite a lot of fuel, so you should only use them if you really need them.

In the middle of the craft you see an external fuel-pod, which can be dropped with AG2.

It flies pretty realistic. You can throw it around like crazy, if your speed is low enough (<~600MPH), but it will cost you a lot of speed, so you shouldn't do this more than ~10 seconds and activate the rocket boosters. It is pretty agile and manages to go around 1150 MPH with boosters.

If you are landing with the bombs and fuel-pod still attached, be very careful. Land at around 250 MPH with very low vertical speed and low AoA (angle of attack), otherwise the bombs or the fuel-pod may touch the ground and explode (also looks good, though).
It is pretty easy to land with the fuel-pod and bombs detached before.

I hope you enjoy it!
Feedback is appreciated! :)

@TheGuyWhoFliesToGetHisPie I'd really like that! Thanks! :D I have a fixed version in my pocket though, which can go full pitch now without bugging into weird rolling and also I mounted the missiles on pylons now, so they don't explode occassionally on launch. The gun was also modded to be more like a real cannon of a fighter jet, so higher muzzle velocity, more realistic caliber and weight of the grenades and higher rate of fire. Other than that I can offer a dogfighting version, a ground attack version and a ground attack anti-SAM version. They just have different loadouts. No external fuel-tank, 2x Interceptor mid- to long-range AtA-missile, 2x Guardian short-range AtA-missile for the dogfighting version // 2x rocket-pods (14 rockets), 6x 250 lbs bombs for the ground attack version // 2x rocket-pods (14 rockets), 6x Inferno AtG-missiles for the ground attack anti-SAM version. The Infernos don't lock up btw., that definitely has to get fixed. I also tried them on other aircraft, they just don't lock up in the current version of SP. :D

@AndrewGarrison this plane deserves a feature.

I've found that maximum pitch may cause weird rolling and the Interceptor missiles may explode the craft when rolling into the direction of where the launched missile is attached. Let me know if you're experiencing the same and want a fix. :)

@Allstar upvoted it, so it must be a good replica. :D
