The F-14 Tomcat was a Supersonic American Air-superiority Fighter capable of reaching Mach 4-5. The Tomcat was the successor of the collapsed VFX project of the F-111B interceptor and F-4 PhantomII. The first prototypes of the F-14 were produced in 1970 and were introduced to the Navy in 1974. The F-14 saw first use in 1975 during the fall of Saigon (Operation Frequent Wind) and was used as a Combat Air Patrols (CAP) around Saigon and provided ground and fighter cover for the evac. This F-14A is in a Custom 1970s Navy color scheme. Please enjoy this aircraft!
