The AF-09 is the definitive high-speed interceptor for the Accilian Air Force. Built and developed by Phoenix Industries, this aircraft represents the cutting edge of speed and range. The aircraft excels at long-range combat; pilots are trained to use hit and run tactics whenever possible. The AF-09 also has many design features to give it moderate stealth characteristics.
This aircraft is best flown like a MiG-31, keep your speed high, and don't turnfight under any circumstances.

The AF-09 comes with two, very powerful ATFE-16 afterburning turbofans. This, combined with it's low drag, delta wing design allow for ridiculous speeds at any altitude. As a consequence, these engines overheat quickly on War Emergency Power (narrative only), so it is often used for a "dash" of speed either to pursue or escape a target.

This aircraft has very good maneuverability at high speeds, as it has been optimised for such maneuvers. However, it really suffers at low speeds. At near-stall speeds the aircraft has almost no control.

Pilots most often use the AF-09's airbrakes for pitch-up maneuvers, as the nose pitches sharply when the airbrakes extend.

The AF-09 comes with the standard 4 MSL missiles, but instead of using LC-02 laser cannons to replace an internal cannon, a cannon was fitted in the starboard wingroot.

This aircraft also carries 6 6AAM missiles, 2 LAAM missiles, and 2 HVAA missiles.

The AF-09 has grown a reputation among it's technicians for it's easy-to-repair components, besides the engine cooling problem. The only issue, though, is it's RAM coating, as mechanics must take care while working on this aircraft as to not damage the coat.

The AF-09 is currently selling for 110 million dollars each, with engine replacement parts also available for purchase.

- Added an actual cannon this time
- There's a little bird design on the rudder fins. I threw that in last-minute to break up the solid color a bit.
- This has been on the upload sidelines until now, when I have all the other Project planes redone.
- I changed the thumbnail font to ACE7. As you could probably tell by the name, It's an Ace Combat 7 inspired font, and in my opinion it looks better than the other font I used.

Finally, that should be all the redos that I wanted to do down, now I can work on the polish of some of my new airplanes. This is the last aircraft of an era, I suppose. After the beta for 1.11 came out, I've been using the new parts and stuff for newer planes, of which I have about half a dozen on standby, which I have to update with the new parts before I publish them. I guess it was convenient that I didn't post them, then.
