Auto Credit Based on QuiteInactiveWhiteBread's korean war(FINISHED)

A stopgap, simple build for a stopgap, simple jet.

The Yak-15 was a first-generation Soviet turbojet fighter developed by the Yakovlev design bureau immediately after World War II. It used a reverse-engineered German Junkers Jumo 004 engine in an airframe based on the Yak-3. Along with the Swedish Saab 21R, it was one of only two jets to be successfully converted from a piston-powered aircraft and enter production.

That was most likely a Yak-17, but from a distance or the right angle, it is practically impossible to tell them apart. @SimplyPlain

@AircraftoftheRedStar One Yak-15 was claimed to be shot down by a Douglas F3D-2 in Korea. The F3's pilot could have been mistaken of course... but the Yak-15 looks quite recognizable. It would, of course, have been in North Korean colors then... so the paintjob is off.

Amazing job! Unfortunately, the Yak-15 did not see service in the Korean War.
