Backstory (fictional)
It was based on the Renault G1R. Compared with the latter, AMX-41 had a new 300-hp diesel; its hull was longer than the G1; and an extra pair of wheels was added on the suspension. the AMX-41 also had a new turret, the FCM-F1.R.
Produced by FCM and AMX, This medium Tank was develloped in response to the Panzer III's and IV to serve as a mobile and powerful battle tank.
Three prototypes were evaluated jointly between December 1940 and 950 units were finally produced by the begining of February , thus serving in the French Armored Divisions.
