Aegis Genesis Type 1

8,528 Thueerra  3.8 years ago

In 2020 Aegis corporation published their first general aviation jet.

Equipped with ACAFE-188 Afterburning engine, it is first of it's kind in general aviation!

Genesis holds two seats for passengers and one seat for pilot. Great for airshow rides!

Having streamlined and concealed control surfaces, Genesis is highly advanced civillian jet!

Specifications:

Wingspan: 8.6m
Length: 9.1m
Height: 3.3m
Empty weight: 6004 kg
Loaded weight: 10475 kg

Minimum takeoff speed: 465km/h
Maximum takeoff speed: ~600km/h

At sea level:

Max/cruise speed without afterburner: 835 km/h
Max speed with afterburner: 1500 km/h

At operating altitude:

Max/cruise speed without afterburner: 989km/h
Max speed with afterburner: 1900 km/h

Max speed ever achieved: 2012 km/h (nose dive)

Max range was never tested or calculated.

Contorls:

AG1: Afterburner
AG2: Flaps
AG7: Drag chute
AG8: position lights off/on

Otherwise basic controls!

Flaps are meant only for landing since it takes more distance to take off with them because of Genesis's experimental aerodynamics.

Drag chute should be deployed at max: 350 km/h

I hope you all enjoy!!

@DanDaFreakinMan Read the descriptiona again maybe? It is saying rides, so taking passengers is the main purpose for this jet! Getting along to the ride! Not for stunts.

@Thueerra Well I mean if it meant for airshow and stunt purposes, shouldn't it be more maneuverable?

Looks cool, flies a bit sluggish for what it is though. I really like how the control surfaces are made

@Shadow17 remember tho that if you mirror this in designer, control surfaces are gonna go messy!
