Tupolev Tu-134 1st Series 1966

I started this game making a basic model of this airplane, https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/RN97Ec/Tu-134B-3-v0-84
Now the time has came to upgrade it)

This is an early production Tupolev Tu-134, Aeroflot workhorse on short routes. It is in fact a deep modification of a previous Tu-124 (actually, its first designation was Tu-124A, changed to Tu-134 after 3 planes produced), basically sharing it fuselage, engines, landing gear and equipment, but with engines moved to the back to reduce cabin noise (thus tail had to be modified to a "T-tail" form.) plus stretched fuselage and wings. Unlike my previous upload, Tu-104, both Tu-124 and Tu-134 proved to be reliable, easy to fly, relatively well equipped, and were tested thoroughly before regular service, including wide range of stall tests. Compared to medium range Tu-104, smaller regional Tu-124 and Tu-134 (they are approximately 75% size and 50-65% weight of Tu-104) featured better avionics, weather radar, improved double slotted flaps, spoilers, adjustable stabiliser, a lot more fuel efficient turbofan D-20P-125/D-30-1 engines that actually gave them the same or greater range as their bigger predecessor, hydraulically assisted rudder and elevator controls and more flexible wing. 2nd series Tu-134 and later Tu-134A (stretched model) also received thrust reverses equipped and higher bypass ratio D-30-2/3 engines (thus got rid of brake parachute). And Tu-134B finally got rid of a glass "bomber" nose for navigator for a more powerful radar unit.

Has completely functional Flaps, Spoilers (both thing work visually and give a realistic aerodinamic effect), Adjustable stabiliser, Landing gear, Nav. Lights and some cameras and rudimentary cockpit. It is a 1:1 scale and weight replica. It flies realistically except for being a remarkably bad glider...

Controlls:

G - Landing gear;
Stabilizer (pitch adjustment) is adjustable with trim slider. normally about 1/4 up in level flight, but depends on speed, altitude and thrust.

AG1 - Landing parachute
AG2 + VTOL slider - Flaps; (0% = Flaps retracted, 100% DOWN = Flaps deployed)
AG3 + VTOL slider - Spoilers (= Airbrakes, 100% UP = Deployed, 0% = Retracted, i added a compensating mechanism to the stabiliser, but still tends to pitch up the plane a bit, use on approach with partial deployment (pitch compensator works between 0 and 1/2 UP, above that it pitches down to push plane to the runway) or after touch down with full deployment)
AG6 - Landing lights;
AG7 - Nav. Lights;
AG8 - Ground steering (sensitivity adjustment, when active - steers to the limit, when deactivated - steers 5 degrees, deactivate on takeoffs and landing, activate for ground maneuvers only)

Take off procedure - Trim 1/2 up, flaps 1/2 down, full thrust , take off speed ~ 170 mph, in right configuration the plane will take off by itself
Landing procedure - Full flaps, trim ~ 60% up, 60% thrust with full flaps, minimum safe speed 150-160 mph, use spoilers to control speed as plane reacts faster than to thrust. over the runway drop thrust to 40-45%, deploy parachute after touchdown.

    i will try, but not sure will have time. BTW, 2 weeks ago i've flew a real one in a kind of a retro flight. Was cool. Although the plane expreience was quite usual. No difference from modern planes except for big round windows and old school interior design. We also had a photo session with a supersonic tu-144

    @asteroidbook345 can i take a look before you release? Im quite curious

    @asteroidbook345 yes, no problem. It is an often problem with roll... when some part sticks into another somewhere in a wing - it changes wing flexibility and make a plane roll... i usually delete one part of a wing after another and look for when it stops rolling. than try to swap a part of a wing frome some older working save

    It appears i made a mistake with horizontal stabilizer settings... plane feels too nose heavy, strange i didn't notice before... probably will delete this model and upload corrected. Anyway, i also found out i oversize vertical fin and found out how to synchronize landing gear doors with landing gear itself. Gonna make that too.

    Thanks a lot, guys! Well, except overestimating air resistance and underestimating stall, the game is suprisingly realistic, than why not use it, its the most interesting to try match real world fluying qualities)

    You've been absent awhile, welcome back! Fantastic work on this one, not only looks great, you gave great attention to flying qualities, something most builders miss.
