Triol Republic Ship, Great Blasket:
The T.R.S Great Blasket, more commonly referred to as the Blasket, was a World War Two era cruiser armed with three 10 inch guns and one 20mm AA gun. While not the most heavily armed ship of the Allied navies, the Blasket helped patrol Northern Atlantic shipping routes for German U-Boats.
In 1943, the Blasket was struck by a cannon round from U-Boat 502, which put it out of action for the rest of the year. After the war, the Blasket saw extensive use as a training ship. She was scrapped in 1963.
