Boeing 747-400 YAL-1 (Working Laser)

Disclaimer: This is not my build! All the credit goes to the original creator.

Recent research on Laser and auto aim system lead to this build. My calculation showed that a laser system must have power of at least 1 megawatt to be capable of taking down a fighter jet. Fortunately, USAF had built such plane which is 747 YAL-1 (Airborne Laser). The power of its laser is conveniently rated at 1 megawatt which means I am not pulling off some Ace Combat shenanigans.

This build was modified from a beautiful YAL-1 built by @JacksEpicGamingYT and @realSavageMan which, unfortunately, lacks a functional laser turret. I thus added a functional but somewhat unreliable auto aim system. Some wiggle with the aircraft maybe necessary for the beam to touch the target. Therefore, it is best used in gun training mission. The laser is weak against ground targets and ships due to its low power and in consistency of the auto aim system.

Hope you enjoy! If you have any suggestions on laser auto aim, please comment below!

@ThomasRoderick It actually does calculate the lead but the rotator cannot keep up. Or rather, I did not account for the dynamics of the turret which is a big problem. Also, it does not help when I forgot to calculate the error caused by the cockpit placement.

I doubt if the targeting system actually calculates the lead of the beam. Yes, I know IRL lasers don't really need to calculate something like that; also yes, you can't actually make the beams go 3e+8m/s without the game failing to render the beam beyond the first "bullet" out of the muzzle.

@JacksEpicGamingYT Thanks! This was meant to be a weird test but it just shows my incompetence.
