Made around it's main weapon, this long range plane was used to defend the Italian coast from ships. Not many were made, and a variant used as a light bomber was also built in higher but generally low numbers. The plane itself had rather mixed results in this configuration, only ever damaging some ships, though it saw better success against medium tanks.

rexzion made this small 37mm cannon and requested that I build a plane around it. This is the result of that. I made the fuselage's design similar to other light bomber's fuselages, with a larger fuselage section but a thin tail (like the Ki-48, the Martin Maryland, Hampden, etc). I then settled on using inline engines since I haven't made one of those in a while, and added a couple of turret positions, one ventral. All the plane's machine guns are based on the Breda-SAFAT gun's specifications, and the cannon is mounted underneath the nose. The aircraft flies a little sluggishly on the pitch axis so I recommend putting the flaps down slightly when wanting to pitch harder, like when attacking ground targets.

VTOL controls flaps or turrets.
AG1: Enables both turrets and disables flaps in whatever position they are in.

@TurtlesThatFly yeah that all sounds pretty cool. usually I add the decals of the time that I know, well unless i fail miserably. Interesting style.

@WiiWiiTheMini The aircraft's "pod-and-boom" fuselage is inspired by planes that had a similar configuration. I listed them in the description of the plane. I chose this configuration since I liked the look of it personally and it added the possibility of a ventral gunner. Second, I don't put decals on my aircraft because it encourages people to add their own and make their own successors. It also stays to a simple, stock build that has semi-realistic flight controls.

interesting. I'm looking at the plane, and my opinion is it is solid. It's solid on looks, the front section is pretty good. My gripe, however, are only two things. The transition from the front section to the back looks a little aesthetically unpleasing, and could use a bit of work. I also think that the plane feels, well, a bit bland. Maybe some italian roundels could be of use. solid, but could use some work.
