During their service with the Royal Scandinovian Navy, the ships were one of the backbone of the country's naval force alongside Aksel Bole-class destroyers, Admiral Halse-class cruisers, Harstad-class amphibious assault ships and the Agder-class attack submarines.

All ships seen action in the UN-SA War and all were seen action in the Battle of Nordland Sea, all except one survived the war and was able to serve back to their home waters.

All ships were eventually transferred to the RSN and RSCG after the Duchy of Scandinovia joined the RS constitution. Three ships of the class were given to the RSN and two for the RSCG.

All ships seen action in the 2nd Great War. The 3 Trondheim's in service for the Navy saw actions in the Northern, Australia, Indo-Pacific, Philippines, Japan and China campaigns with a lose of one member.

The two ships that served for RSCG saw action as part of Naval Vessels who defended the Equestrian mainland.

The remaining ships were able to survive the war and continue in post war service. The two ships serving for the Coast Guard remained in their full service while the two remaining ships in the Navy have their service changed. One of the ships were put to reserve and only one is currently in service.

History

In 2069, The Admiralty of Scandinovia were pursuing the newly adopted "Rask angrepsflåte" which called out for newer ships with no lesser speed of 32 knots and is capable of powerful anti-aircraft duties to supplement it's fleet. The development of the Trondheim class succeeded the preceding Larvik-class. It carries a newly commissioned Type 34 Spyd AA missile and improved Grønn hai MK10 anti-ship missiles and is 1.5 knots faster than the preceding class.
