History

The F-36 was a 4th generation multi-role fighter jet. Designed to be able to adapt to almost any mission, It could equip a wide array of weaponry. It's unique tail dragger configuration set it apart from its peers, enabling the F-36 take off from short runways. This STOL capability was vital for operation on aircraft carriers, as well as on small, distributed airfields. When It entered service in 1979, It's avionics where revolutionary, featuring a multiple screens a HUD and revolutionary fly-by-wire controls. The F-36 could scramble on short notice using an automated start-up sequence, allowing it to respond to threats faster. It's excellent agility and acceleration made it a favorite of pilots.

The variant featured here, the F-36 A, is the initial production version, and has been equipped with a multi-role loadout.

-Throttle > 90% = Afterburner Stage 1
-Throttle > 99% = Afterburner Stage 2
-Brake = Wheel and Tail Brakes

-Ag3 = Eject
-Ag4 = Reverse Taxi
-Ag5 = Lights
-Ag6 = Quick Jettison (Inner 2 Pylons)

Jettison Selected Weapon:

By enabling this mode with Activate7, you can select a weapon group, and Jettison it by pressing Fire Weapons

Reverse Taxi:

Allows you to go backwards during parking/taxi. Set Throttle to ilde Throttle = 0% and release the brakes.

MFD:

The Left MFD is interactable! you can switch between 3 display options using the buttons below the screen. You can reset to the default view by pressing Return on the touchscreen.

Landing:

This is a tail dragger design, so it will flip over if you're not careful. Keep your approach speed around 190 MPH and take a shallow approach. Remember to put the hook down for carrier landings.
