@Tang0five yeah 2 at the front and a rear adjustable main engine exhaust, will be fun :)
From what I read it had 3 directional nozzles as apposed to the 4 the harrier was developed with just to make things interesting :) @RamboJutter
@Tang0five thanks, yeah I'll trim etc, bit difficult as all the uc retracts rearward so cog moves dramatically but I'll sort it with another rotator on the tail that autoadjusts when wheels are being retracted. I'm a bit puzzled with the vtol on this one as the drawings I've seen only have 1 engine at the rear that does an f35 style change of direction but the model clearly has two engines. Yeah I'll do a ring and armoured front bit for the canopy (I hate not having glass parts...) I'm thinking of retractable thrust nozzles for the sides of the intake, not 100% sure. Wish I'd noticed the wing earlier as it's a major feat to fix now.
P.s Is there some sort of canopy to finish the cockpit off?
First off this looks pretty awesome! I had contemplated the 1216 when I was looking at a lot of hawkers cancelled projects, but I’m glad someone with a heck of a lot more ability has done it now! Had a good little flight around on low settings and she’s pretty nimble - I’m assuming you will trim her out after adding the final parts. Ejector seats a cool feature! Yeah the wing could be tweaked and the main body looks rather dainty and could be fatter but I think the overall effect has been achieved rather nicely. I dunno about the intake, I’m quite partial to the basking shark intake - reminds me of the typhoon/tempest pedigree this has descended from... FAA livery looks rather dapper! Can’t wait to see the finished peice with the vtol too. You could do a rendition that in a hypothetical scenario, went into production and how that would look on the new carriers? Jolly good stuff once more!
@tang0five, evening old chap, i was bored (not really) so decided to build something. Do you want to cast your eye over it before i publish it? I need to add the fuselage roundels (but that probably 100 parts) and add the vtol system, i based it off the wind tunel model at Newark Air Museum instead of the drawings with the basking shark intake (yuck). I know ive got the wing wrong as its too wide and not enough sweep but hey ho.
