The BMW M3 E92 GT2 is the racing version of the base M3 E92. This car was unveiled in 2009 and it competed in endurance racing and won the 24 Hours of Nurburgring. It also partecipated in the 2009 American Le Mans Series season and competed in the GT2 class, and in 2011 it achieved a 1-2 finish at the 12 Hours of Sebring. In the same year, BMW would dominate for the rest of the season and would end up winning the GT manufacturer, team and driver championships. The E92 GT2 was so dominant that it became one of the BMW art cars. In 2013 the BMW M3 E92 GT2 was replaced by the BMW Z4 GTE.
