@goboygo1 indeed, I kinda explained that a bit on my P-31U post if I remember correctly, someone in the comments told me to turn it into a fighter lol. Unfortunately weapons don’t exactly like water for whatever reason in SP, so I probably wouldn’t be able to do much about that. Anywho idk why I mentioned that but yeah it’s just a cool concept that could be potentially interesting

Making the outside corrosion resistant wouldn't be that hard, Heck you could jsut use paint, but all the hydraulic electric and avionic systems would have to have watertight seals on them, Which is harder than it sounds.
But yeah, you would want a whole new plane design.

What awesomeness said, plus giant subs that could hold multiple aircraft could and would be created. @goboygo1

@goboygo1 I propose a corrosion-resistant layer of material as a the outside skin of the aircraft, and all other facilities on the aircraft that are exposed. Of course, an entirely new aircraft could be crafted for such an endeavor, rather than just applying it to an already-existing aircraft like the F-22 in my shoddy example.

This would be extremely cool, but I think it would be crippled by seawater ruining the entire Jet. You would either need to keep the plane inside the sub - Heavy and expensive - Or build a plane to be totally corrosion and water proof. - Heavy and expensive.

I mean how would it catch you though. If it just made you land on it, sure it can hold you but an f22 might puncture the hull. Maybe like a large net or magnet. @AWESOMENESS360

@CC1010 well no, the sub could easily catch you; the F-22 weighs roughly 43,000lbs, but a submarine can weigh a helluva lot more than that, the largest being around 90,000,000lbs, which is way more than enough to withstand the weight of a fleet of aircrafts, let alone the weight of just one. I mentioned a submarine aircraft carrier, like the Alicorn from AC-7 because nothing like it has ever been made irl, atleast not that the general public knows about. It’s just the most “realistic” example I can think of.

I think that would be terrifying lol. Imagine one of the stabilizers breaks or the jato fails. Your stuck underwater with basically nothing to help you survive. And because it weighs so much, a submarine wont be able to catch you falling @AWESOMENESS360

@CC1010 dude, imagine being an F-22 pilot or something in the year 2030 and you’re now training for underwater catapult launches via a submarine aircraft carrier, sorta like the Alicorn. How freaking awesome would that be?!

With powerful jatos, and detachable fins to keep it stabilized in the water, this is most definitely possible. @AWESOMENESS360

@TheNightmareCompany create a mechanism that closes the engines on a fighter, kinda like a camera lens, giving them a watertight seal. Give them JATO Rocket Boosters, and fire them out of the water via submarine, like a missile. Now that’s an idea!
