I know the sound isn’t entirely accurate, and it sounds more like a motorcycle on cocaine than anything else, but man! This is by far one of the closest times we’ve ever come to improved engine noises in SP, other than the usual car engine noise, and/or using default prop engines and stuff to create something that sounds reminiscent of a gasoline engine.
Basically, I made the propeller blades turn by using a rotator and 2 small fuselage to rotate it, kind of like when turning a cross-shaped faucet with a hand, except the hand rotates indefinitely.

I've made a something that could control the pitch of the propeller engine sounds. https://www.simpleplanes.com/Videos/View/2136688
