I suggest you have a look at some more of the aircraft on the website. You can learn a lot about building in SP by reverse-engineering creations, especially since the in-game tutorial is very obsolete.
@ACEPILOT109 No you dont. Crash yourself inside and save it as a custom location. If you start from inside the turrets won't shoot. Exit the base and change locations to Ice Base Assault so they still won't attack. Then land casually in the base. The real location will save. That's how I discovered the Ice Base location.

@Skyler717 in order for the location to save you must take out ALL of the defenses. this includes missiles and anti missile lasers. good luck.
I tried the same.. I did it but it DOSNT save :/
