Add the RopeMaker part from the Other category to your craft
1 • hold LeftAlt + press LMB to create the first point
2 • press ArrowUp/ArrowDown for change rope force
2 • or hold ArrowUp/ArrowDown for change rope force (if the game is not in pause)
4 • hold LeftAlt + press LMB to create the second point
5 • hold LeftAlt + press MouseWheel on one of point removes the rope
Using
You can use ropes to secure cargo, secure an airplane on a deck, use them in cranes, and determine the actual dimensions of colliders.

@Kerbango I've only communicated with the developers and given them a list of our car-related desires, but as far as I understand, it doesn't matter to them. All my work is unrelated to the second part, but if they bother to create a proper modding guide, I'll transfer most of my mods to the SP2.
