A simple part mod that adds realistic mirage effect into SimplePlanes, to enable, drag the cube object from the propulsion tab off the part list and place it in the desired location. The size of the haze can be customised from the settings tab once the object is selected.
edit: error loading the mod on android, so it won't be supported, sorry :(

@CallsignTig I think the latest update broke it… unfortunately I don’t have the tools to make mods anymore
So, when I use this, it outs it out in "waves", like it stutters, sometimes there's a heat haze, but intermittently there isn't. Is this normal?
does it work on jet engines? (oh wait its a block im an idiot)
