I do enjoy it when I get new prisoners to watch over, they are way more entertaining then listening to the intercom and whatever Lt. Frost plays on his record player. Something is different about these guys. They’re quiet, too quiet. The last group that came through here was throwing threats at us and after their talk with Essen, they were begging to leave. This lot just stood around giving angry glances, one was smiling. He knew something and they won’t talk. Maybe a chat with Essen will change their mood.

Cpt. Essen “I will ask this once and only once. Where is your base?”
Subject “Which one?”
Cpt. Essen “Let us start with the base you are from.”
Subject “I couldn’t say, I’ve been gone for too long.”
Cpt. Essen “You do not seem to mind being here. Why is that?”
Subject “Because I won’t be here for much longer.”

Coms Operator “Approaching Drifter-C transport, what is your haul? Over.”
Transport “Food and recreational items. Over.”
Coms Operator “Drifter-C, you are clear for landing. Over and out.”

August 26, 2019 8:30 p.m. Dock
The flames could be seen all the way from the dry dock the Deutschland just launched from earlier this morning. People watched in terror as another explosion came out of the Deutschland’s interior launch bay. The ship itself was listing to one side, she had taken on lots of water. The Deutschland, a ship made to be invincible, was now crippled and at the mercy of her attackers.
