NOTAM | [RP] The State of the F-36 Program

Rainier Aerospace has some semi-unfortunate news, that the F-36 Fighter Program will be put on hold indefinitely, as the entire program will undergo restructuring and intense review. Major design changes are also going to be needed for the finalized production F-36A design (engine intakes, weapons bay, landing gear, cockpit chair & LCD screens, engine intake air ducts, and entire wing) in order for it to be a success and potentially attract more customers & orders. This also means the test flight program for the 2 current YF-36's has been put on hiatus. The 3rd YF-36 prototype is also nearing completion, but once completed, it won't fly until the F-36 Program resumes. The US Navy's special, one-off F-36XC however, will continue as it's part of a separate deal & contract with the US Navy.

This has happened in the wake of recent shifting priorities within the company; shifting resources and development effort to more promising & reliable programs & products such as our thriving drone division (our main cash cow) that is developing several production recon drone models that already have firm domestic (US) and international customers & orders, which currently remain undisclosed. Our upcoming drone line-up will provide a steady, reliable stream of profit for the company so we can continue our other ventures & services. Our weapon systems, land vehicles, space, and experimental testing divisions have also received more attention & resources to complete those programs first before moving on to the relatively unstable F-36 Program.

Once the higher-priority programs have been completed, and the F-36 Program is restructured, the program will resume, along with the design changes.

Anyways happy flying! You can look forward to the Grizzly MPAT-V truck being released around June 13th, about 2 weeks away.
