Why build planes in Simpleplanes, when you can build them on real life? This is a P-47D that I've been working on for the past few days now and its coming a long very nicely.

Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp engine.

Droptank, 500 lbs bombs, Rocket launchers.

Everything is still not done. I still need to add some olive drab to the wings and fuselage. As well I need to glue the remaining parts on, add decals, and finally add a clear coat.

I would love to hear your comments, tips, or criticism. Thanks.

Well I thought this was a simpleplanes teaser .Tip
Don't hot glue em together , use a very slippery adhesive to minimize the mess and don't apply it to the whole joining area , just apply it in the middle so the it slips out to fill the spaces.
Review : Well , a P-47 model would be fun to fly in SP.

Many models come with canopy masks, but I do a single line at a time and that works for me ( I’m a beginner) I also use electrical tape to keep the paint from seeping under the tape. @Maxwell1

Are you brush painting? If you're brush painting, carefully paint the the frames with a fine brush, and then use a toothpick to gently scratch away any excess paint that is not on the frames. It is important to use acrylic paint for this, as it dries softer and can be scratched off easily, unlike enamel paint which dries very hard. If that is the Dogfight Doubles kit, then it comes with acrylic paint. @Maxwell1

@Maxwell1 I'm no expert but what I do is tape off the entire canopy, then cut out the areas where you are going to paint.

Noooo don't use painters tape! You will peel off all the paint. Use a modeling masking tape, like Tamiya tape @GINGER01

@iPilot I plan too glue the engine on before applying the olive drab. With the landing gear area, I plan to cut out shapes from painters tape to mask off the area.

Really cool! Do you use and also I really like how you painted the engine, how do you plan on masking the landing gear area and the engine?

And use more matte and less gl0ss, most of the plane should be matte
