Can I get some advice?

36.1k DbE  5.9 years ago

Recently, I have been encountering a problem...

I'll start building something, and get to the middle of it and i'll encounter a major problem or something and just lose all motivation and scrap it. I'll have wasted an hour or more. I feel like it is due to the fact that the RPs i'm in for SP take place in modern times when I'm more into sci-fi or WWI. I feel like i'm forced to build things how they should be and not how I want them to be. I'm building for need not want. Should I just quite the RPs? Should I go off and make my own thing? A new story or something? A alternate history WWI perhaps? I don't know.

Can I have some advice?

I think your take the rp too seriously.
Try to make it look like the replica, but don't forget to add your personal touch to it, or else you will lose interest.
Think of your uploads as lookalikes instead of perfect replicas.

I always draw blueprints of fictional planes first: it helps my motivation

If you feel like you're at the point of scrapping a plane, post it as is. There are plenty of people who would gladly help!

Instead of scrapping the build, just come back to it here and there; adding a little every time and eventually it will be done!
