Non standard fuselage shapes.

Hi gang. I'm sorta new and was wondering if there are any tricks or tips I need to know for doing a non-standard fuselage for an aircraft. The project I have in mind is shaped like a manta ray and I was wondering if there is an easier alternative to trying to curve a bunch of block.

Thanks. What I'm trying to model is an FS-1 Flying Sub (Google will help find a picture). The tricky bit is going to be the manta "wings" on each side. I'm thinking at least a pair on each side, and getting that kind of smooth slope out of fuselage blocks is going to be tricky.

Protip too: if you wanna build a flying wing, embed an actual wing part inside. Otherwise, it won't catch the air properly.

Thanks, Glad to be here. I guess the way to do is is the bar of soap approach? That Is I get the basic dimensions right and then trim away and smooth it until is'a about right and then star fine tunning it with little bits? Okay. Looks like modelling the FS-1 is going to be a bit of a challenge for me.

atgxtg welcome sir! we are very pleased to have you in the community, you are an important entity in the community. All you need is skills, and mastering the fuselage. This also can be done by setting the fuselage as low as 0.25, and set the corners as "circular"

There are many ways you can reshape fuselages, I like to do custom corners
