Hollow fuselage tips?

10.8k MrTyTheGreat  6.1 years ago

As I said, I'm gonna stick to building rockets, but one of the things with rockets, is that they're circular. Which is fine, but then you've gotta stick stuff inside of them. Also fine, but the really hard part, is when that hollow circular thing has to break in two.
Yes, I'm talking about fairings. How? I need it to be hollow, aerodynamic, and importantly, it needs to cleanly split in two, with the inside being hollow as well.
If you don't follow me, just look up 'rocket fairing.'

Anywho, I need to build one. And I need help with that. Does anyone have any tips, or even better, a tutorial or video on how to do that? That would be really helpful. Thanks.

I have a prime opportunity to get started on this today, but I'm more likely to waste my time in TF2 instead. :/

    That's reassuring! :P
    I'll keep trying.

Very bloody hard. But I suggest playing around with the fine tuning option. I’ll personally prefer small angle adjustments first.

Also, don’t give up. If it’s frustrating, go do some other stuff (like idk, go play battle royals games with inverted controls) then go back

No seriously, my HondaJet fuselage was made by SledDriver and it’s great @Strikefighter04

    Step one: ask SledDriver
    Step two: enjoy

Uhhh... try starting off with a hollow fuselage, then gradually bring them inside using rise or run, and make the pieces smaller as they go up. @MrTyTheGreat

Yeah, but How do I do that?

It's like building a hollow airplane nose, only in two sections.
