This single-seat, twin turbofan engine jet aircraft developed by Fairchild, is the main attack aircraft of the US Air Force (USAF). Aside from its armament, it was actually intended to improve on the performance of the older A-1 Skyraider and its lesser firepower. This variant, the A-10C, was an A-10A that was updated under the Precision Engagement (PE) program.


Operational history

A-10Cs were first used in the Gulf War and Belka. It would later be used in the Middle Eastern countries including Afghanistan, Iraq, and, Libya.
