Need Help

205 SimpleWolf  6.6 years ago

Hello everybody so how do I start well I like this game. I like to build and make stuff and destroy stuff and and do the whole thing again that's how I got hooked to LEGO and now SimplePlanes. If anyone can teach me how to be a good or maybe a master builder at planes and cars or anything then let me know and how we can communicate and do baby steps first. Love you all and have a wonder day ????

    1. I recommend you learn all the possibilities of the fuselage part. 99% of every plane will likely be fuselage parts. Experiment with the different shapes you can make with them
    2. Using other player's ideas isn't a bad thing. I'm not saying copy anyone but looking at someone else's building techniques will help you understand the game mechanics.
    3. Try to develop your own "style." If you can develop a style of building then eventually people will be able to recognize your builds without needing to read your name. A style could be anything from a color scheme that's shared between a few planes or a series of certain types of planes. For example when I started, my best planes all shared the same colors and style.
    4. Try to take good screenshots when you share builds. The first thing people see is the first screenshot you take. Make sure that you angle the camera in a way that you can see all of or most of the plane. Make sure that your screenshots are not too far away or too close to your build. If it's too close then people wont click on it, if it's too far away then people wont click it. Take for example my F-86 sabre, that is my best build hands down but it only got 47 upvotes. I believe that it only got 47 because my first screenshot was too close to the nose of the plane. If my first screenshot had shown more of the plane I'd probably get a lot more upvotes. If people can tell what your build is, you're more likely to get upvotes!
    5. This game can get a bit frustrating at times, sometimes you wont be able to create certain shapes but just keep at it and over time you'll get good.

I know that's kind of a lot and my writing is probably pretty nonsensical but I hope that helps a little. If you ever need any help feel free to ask. Just about everyone on this site will be willing to help you!

Well to begin, welcome to the SimplePlanes community! Now to start, you should probably build a simple prop plane just to get the basics of building, or play the tutorials
