How do you get people to want your planes?

310 Fishonastick  6.6 years ago

Sometimes I feel as if I'm advertising to nothing, building a surplus plane that just sits there, waiting for someone to download, but only 2 or three people do so. And for most of my builds, I have never seen a good comment, suggesting what to do next. So I ask this question, how to build a plane people would want?

Be good, build good, take camera angles good, and good build performance

You can download backgrounds for your PC/Android designer. You can take better screenshots, build better, and leave a decently well written description.

Build airplanes that look great in the screenshots and use all three screenshots. Fill the screenshot--many posted builds are zoomed out; if the user can't see it, he won't download it and he won't upvote it. Then, if you really care, and if you want to build airplanes that people not only want, but also like to fly, build great looking airplanes that fly great.

Put as much detail as possible, but keep it potato freindly, use tags, custom designer mods, good angles for pics, and some form of functionality that is not normal (like deployable lifeboats on a ship).

Avoid the default cockpit like the plague, try to make a custom one out of fuselages, it just looks better and doesn't take that much longer. Also, take better screenshots of your planes. You won't believe how a screenshot can make or break a plane you upload. It's like the cover of a book, sure there's the saying but it's the first thing people see and decide on. And if you can, planes look better if you set SP reflections to high. Shouldn't hinder performance that much and will help with grabbing people's attention. If it's already set to high then also consider working on shaping aircrafts and mastering the fuselage piece. Here we want form, and many want form over function, so strive the work on the fuselage block and learning how to use it.

If someone suggests putting extreme amounts of detail, I'm on a kindle.
