Detached parts lose fuel/deactivate

11.3k LiamW  6.7 years ago

Ive been making a missile truck but when i detach the missile, the engine stops. I dont know if this is because fuel disappears or the engine deactivates. I have fuel in the missile, enough inlets, and zero at deactivation is turned off. This hasnt been a problem before 1.7 beta but i havent tested it on something else yet.

@LiamW Yes, and any weapons (aside from guns) have to be attached to the "cockpit" to work. Although you can detach a missile directly and have it on a second activation group. i.e. AG1 drops guardian, it hits the ground and sits there. AG2 enables the guardian and now it shoots across the ground. Guns always work unless they are disabled.

Weird. Fixed it. So it uses fuel from whatever is attached to the cockpit, not what is attached to the engine? @AstleyIndustries

If you use Blasto VTOL, make sure its in the missile together with the nozzles
