Currently, I've entered a plane into a contest. The 1st place prize is 20 upvotes. If I win that, would my account be penalized for the appearance that I made a second account and upvoted my own planes?

It says right here in the Rules
"Don't make alternate accounts to upvote your own stuff."
If an other account give you 20 upvote for a challenge I wont penalize you
