i have been trying to mod the thrust of the jet engines but it seems to be too much with the plane reaching 3000 mph and then blowing up.. is the a way in which i can increase the thrust to a usable limit ?

Try increasing it slowly, like go to 1.5. if thats stable then go to 1.6-2 and see what fits best. if it isnt stable try getting a Structural panel, find and change the "allowControlSurfaces" properties "false" to true and now its a wing that wont bend and break. Hope this helps.

Strengthen your plane. Check for parts that wobble under drag or lift forces.
