Use a VTOL nozzle to turn the ship, and a huge vertical stabilizer hidden in the hull. There are many ways to build a hull. I have used four or five different methods. Download one of my ships that has a hull that you like, take it apart, and see how it's made.
For the hull, I have no idea since all of mine are just boxes. For propulsion, use propellers with a chord of around 10. For handling, use a large wing and use xml editing to shrink it.
