Need a hollow cylinder

21.4k RedHawk  7.6 years ago

Ok so I'm working a motor and I've made a couple of pistons and to properly see if they work I'm going to need some cylinder heads, something to keep the piston from falling over while also allowing the piston the move inside of it, so just a hollow fuselage piece basically and it needs to be a bit bigger than 1x1 on the inside. And then some way to fit it over the pistons without it attaching, any suggestion on that?

@PlanesOfOld ok, so far I've got the piston working on a quick little mock up, but I just haven't got the cylinder. I will probably end up doing that with the cylinder. Let me know when you upload yours!

Lol I've tried my friend, Infact I've spent the past week doing exactly this, you can't have a reliable engine with a realistic cylinder, but do not fret. If I get my flag I'll upload one of the products of endless experimenting and cursing.. Lol try with multiple blocks, that may work.

@RailfanEthan no cause parts don't collide with the inlets do they?

@RailfanEthan I don't know how to make hollow fuselage parts, but I know that a fuselage inlet isn't. It may appear so, but moving pieces can't go through them.

Would adding a fuelsalage inlet help? It's the best I can think of.
