Krakabola Nautical Map/Chart

15.5k Rcb1235  7.6 years ago

For the past few days I've been working on this map. It's a map that mariners use to safely navigate the waters of Krakabola. The numbers in the water is the depth. I spent a lot of time on this, I hope you like it.

@KingDeadshot @Sniper16 Keep in mind that the apps I used are definitely not the best for this project. They are mostly old apps that have been on my iPad for years.

I used this app to outline the islands and fill them in with yellow.

I used this to get the same tone of yellow as real electronic boat maps.

I used assembly to add all the text and numbers, the runways, and make the compass rose from scratch. (This is my favorite app out of all of them.)

To survey the depth I took a boat out to were I wanted to see the depth. Then pressed 'restart here.' Next I drop a cockpit with dead weight under it into the water, when it hits the bottom the altitude meter will say how deep it is.

@TTHHSSSS Thanks! I actually planned to have charted the depth a lot further away from the island, but the ocean seems to be bottomless out there.

Awesome! I love how it gets 1000ft deep next to an island
