9/11 was one of the worst days in American history. Over 3,000 people died that fateful day, when when two large planes full of fuel crashed into both of the World Trade Center towers, and one more plane crashed into the Pentagon, our military headquarters. One more plane was headed for either the White House, or the Capitol Building, but the passengers bravely stormed the cockpit, and made the terrorists crash the plane before its destination. The impact of this disaster reflects still today the worlds cultures. Many Muslims have been the subject of racism lately, all because a few terrorists happened to be Mulsim. Even though I was born 2 years after the attacks, I know what 9/11 looked like. The screams, the explosions, paper raining from the sky, the huge dust cloud of debri after the towers collapsed, the partially destroyed pentagon, each and every one of the horrors thousands of people faced that day.

On this day, it brought out the best in people. The largest evacuation by boat was that day. Everyone helped with what they could. Our heros were no longer singers, actors, or athletes. Our heros became the police, firefighters, and paramedics. It was a terrible day, yes. But during this day, people became people. They were no longer selfish, and arrogant. They only thought for others. This makes me hopefull in spite of all the terrible things we hear today. Also, its my B-Day. I was born 15 minutes after the first plane hit.
