Notes:
-This for ValtsuAircraftIndustrie's Photo scare challenge
-Dont be scared, its fictional(if it is spooky)
-Based on the worst airplane disaster if all time, Tennerife

- to keep this PG13 and sutied for the game there are no Casualties, but if you like joy from the pain of others. im sure you can be creative enough to think up a number of souls.

CA-SL2 / CA-34 Crash

Aka the Wright disarster

Cause: Human error/ Runway intrusion/ Lack of sight/ pilot fatigue/ mishearing of ATC command/ Runway collision/ late arrival

Aircraft(s)

  1. CA-SL-2
    1
    Plane type: Nought-Stratrolifter II
    Company: Chundair
    Departure: Avalanche airport
    Destination: wright airport
    Name: Walrus
    passengers: 0
    Crew: 4(P, 1O, FE, CG)
    Injuries: 4(All)

2.CA-34
2
Plane type: Lolop Q-240-100ER
Company: Chundair
Departure: Yeager
Destination: Wright
Name: Horizons
passengers: 62
Crew: 3(P, 1O, FE)
Serious Injuries: 34+3

Summary
A Chundair Stratrolifter Bound for Wright filled with cargo including airplane sub-assemblys takes a long freighter haul route to wright taking 8SP hours, meanwhile a Older passenger Jet loaded with 62/80 souls departs from Yeager.
Both airplanes arrive at wright at around the same time(CA-SL ~30mins later than intended) as the Stratolifter's fuel is low it has the priority of landing on the north side of the wright runway(1). ATC commands the Chundair Q240-100ER to abort its final approach on the south. this came out more informal and suggestive then should of been as the Q-240 was at a point of no return in a safe practice manner, not noticing it was more dangerous to land as the pilot has not yet sighted the Stratolifter on the runway(2). the Stratolifter crew were first to spot the oncoming passenger jet and deployed its airbrakes. At this point the pilot could not take off again as the C-210 as the flaps slowed it down too much(3) this large transport plane is sluggish accelerating and breaking.
as the collision happened At this point the pilot of the passenger jet spots the large stratolifter a few seonds too late, still in the air he was rapidly descending and slowing. The C-210 had slowed down to a reasonable pace, however, the Q-240 has only recently touchdown and was going 100mph around the time of collision(6). both airplanes were instantly totaled, the C-210 lost its front fuselage and cockpit completely. and the top front cargo bay had been ripped open, the cargo inside suffered horrendous damage and caught fire. the front half of the Q-240 had been demolished and the wings broke off, engines and auxiliary fuel tanks were also destroyed. the total serious injury count is 41 the financial damage was also tragic.

Cost
C-210-
Plane: $362M
Cargo-plane Sub assemblies: $71M
Cargo-Other: $2M
Other: $800k
Q-240-100ER-
Plane: $46M
Other: $3.5M
Total: $485M

Errors
C-210
-Fatigue could be a factor for the late notice of the Q-100
-Late radio contact to ATC
Q-100
-Disobeying ATC command
-very poor attention to the planes surrounding caused by concentration of the runway.
ATC
-made an a command that wasn't formal and assertive.

This has deeply effected the Chundair Company financially and its safety rating.

How lovely, or in this case, awful;).
Yeah i knew there was something wrong and unrealistic with my story when a pilot fails to spot another at runways length away in the middle of a perfectly sunny day.
( i forgot to change time and weather)

    @SalemASaberhagen
im afraid i can only use one of your planes, the Ai traffic select a random plane from my designs so i have control over more than one creation which means it will be hard to crash into a mountain with another plane.

@ChunderDownUndeR the SGS 233 was on tow with a Piper Pawnee at Wright airport.
There was a Q-400 departing from Murphy airfield, they crashed Above the Wright mountains it was a VERY VERY foggy day just above condition level for Wright. They crashed into each other

just give me the gist of it, what airport and what plane.
Eg: foggy night [this plane] crashs here with [this plane] at yeager ect.

    Cheers
I did this using Ai trafficing, and with the way Ai flys on this game, a disaster was bound to happen. Do you want me to do this with your glider planes?
    Which poster is broken though?
