These days a lot of people post planes, rockets, tanks, and a whole lot of other stuff. Back in the day when I was a noob, It was planes and things that push the USS Tiny. It was literally simple Planes because they were simple. I'm in 10th grade and in 9th grade in Christmas break, I got this game. It looked interesting and my friend had it. So I tried to build airplanes of what I thought looked cool but they didn't fly. So I built an ugly rocket it didn't even fly. It would get up off the ground and then tip over because I put wings on each 4 sides and they were different airfoils. I uploaded it as my first ever plane. Remember it doesn't fly, so I told the people that it didn't fly but I guess no one listened. So a unflyable ugly piece of machinery got over 300 downloads! 300 for something that doesn't work!?!?! Then I found out the problem days later and made newer ones(these can still be found on my profile) but actually a month or two ago I deleted that first rocket that didn't fly. Recently I realized that it was most likely the first ever rocket in Simple Planes! This rocket is gone but can only be found if other players have it. A relic! A replica of the first ever rocket is on my profile. This has been the truth about how rockets were started. Thank you for your time.

@Nickasaurus Pretty sure @UnstableOrbit had a rocket in the earlier beta/alpha stages. It broke when the physics got changed, though, from what I remember.
See this is the problem. My first plane was a potatoe. Then I built a rocket because I played simplerockets before and wanted to see how they compared. So technically unless someone had an ealier beta then me (like version 0.6) and built a rocket I had the first rocket. Also simpleplanes last Christmas... I'm pretty sure you were very far behind the curve when you got the game if you bought it then.

Ah, simple planes 1.0... The days when massive aircraft, USS Tiny pushers, and simple, fast jet fighters got the most recognition. At that time, I basically built the largest aircraft(publicly available, anyway. I think Unstable Orbit had bigger aircraft, but most of his aircraft, old or not, aren't public anyway) to date at that point. At that time, pretty much anything with tons of downloads would be destined to stay on top... And mine was at the top for a good long while. I think it got to 5000 downloads at one point? Either way, that aircraft was deleted when an update to the website happened and it gave the ability to delete aircraft... So I deleted it to test it out. It worked, so no one will ever know how many downloads it had, exactly... :(
