... as someone suggested, someone is running scripts.
If it's the former, take it to the vet.
If it's the latter, I swear to all when I find that mf it'll be on sight.

@jamesPLANESii nah
Create genetically engineered server hamster infused with rtx 4090
Or the servers are just running slow
@32 yeah. Ngl I wonder if it had something to do with the ad bots?
@YarisHatchback I believe they have tools in place to detect this sort of activity, if it is a matter of someone abusing scripts to try to DDOS the website it shouldn’t be too insanely hard to ban their IP.
Personally I doubt it’s people running scripts, you’d need a rather large number of people to do so and you can’t really accomplish much by running said scripts.
Its happening again...
@32 very technical explanation, me like
also i'm still hoping the devs could find out who did this tbh
Bruh.

You didn't even honor me with a tag!? I'm offended! Jk but also check your data. It seems as of late you need 3 bars minimum to load web pages
@ComradeSandman Well I guess we just can’t compete with that kind of genetic engineering…
@TheLoadingGorilla They just built different fr. Selective breeding.
@Boeing727200F I knew siphoning the gas to cook flapjacks was a bad idea...
@32 Yikes. Yeah, one or two scripts every once in a while isn't much of an issue, but this problem has been going on for so long that if it is from scripts then they're being run far too often and too intensively.
@32 Interesting…
So how the script thing works is Jundroo gets a certain amount of bandwidth. Maybe that’s like a maximum of 100gb a minute or something like that. I have no idea. If I’m normally clicking through the site, I might be using like 5mb a minute. I’ll visit a page, spend 30 seconds typing a comment, visit another page or two, do the same thing. If I’m using scripts, suddenly I’m using like a gigabyte per minute since I can load like a thousand pages with the click of a button. Not a huge deal in itself because at the end of the day I’m limited by my network speed too, but if somehow the entire community is using a collective 100gb of data, the site won’t load until the next minute when there’s another 100gb free. So if there’s like 30 people running a script like me then there might be issues.
This isn’t really how it works and all these numbers are totally made up, but it’s a “close-enough” explanation of how scripting could affect the website. I actually have a script that lets me find old deleted planes, but I avoid running it just because I’m effectively using the bandwidth of dozens or maybe hundreds of concurrent human users. I can’t speak for every tech-savvy person when I say that though.
looks like the emergency power generator kicked in. dont know how long it will last. it has a pretty small fuel tank and hasn't really been looked over in a good minute
@ComradeSandman But hamsters don’t? >:(
@TheLoadingGorilla Gorillas lack the endurance.
They should hire a Gorilla! Much more reliable.
@TheLoadingGorilla Yes, is weird.
@Boeing727200F We can't.
running scripts?
how do we know this is happening, if possible.
@ComradeSandman Hm. 30 seconds ago it was slow as hell but now it’s fine? I don’t think hamsters are the most reliable for power creation…
@TheLoadingGorilla It's only a possibility.
@ComradeSandman Well that’s slightly selfish… is there a way to pinpoint who is doing it and stop them somehow?
@TheLoadingGorilla I'm not entirely sure, but I believe that they can flip through pages at an incredibly rapid rate looking for data, which taxes the servers.
What exactly are “scripts” for a website though? What would they do?
I saw a crimson corvette!
