Part 4 of 5 of my simplpanes 2 stock planes review

20.0k StockPlanesRemastered  13 hours ago

I meant to put one of these out every day but... life happened. Anyway! Here is part 4 of my simplplanes 2 stock planes review. Some very interesting builds in this batch.

First, by Shizzle Styx we have the massive Veleten, the kind of craft we can expect from Shizzle Styx. The Veleten started out as a mashup of the Airbus a400m (available in sp1 as a hidden plane and in JUNO N.O.) and the Piaggio P-180 Avanti, and some how ended up as a turboprop powered AN-225 with an extra set of wings strapped to the front. Multiplayer shenanigans are the order of the day here with its ability to open both the for and aft cargo doors. Once your cargo is inside, it has five drop down magnets to grab any combination of cargo that will fit inside.

Dimensions:
Wingspan: 144 ft
Length: 206.1 ft
Height: 29.5 ft
Weight: 110926lbs to 139530 lbs without cargo

Engines:
6x 1433 lb Blade T3000 Turboprop engines producing 3000 hp each sending power to 6 blade propellers.

Lifting capacity: Unknown at this time

Trivia:
-As mentioned this craft runs on Blade T-3000's from Simpleplanes 1. As of Demo#2 electric smackeroo it is one of 4 stock planes that utilize SP-1 engines. Iv'e seen it typed by a developer that procedural turboshafts are in the works. Could this be a teaser?

Second, by 6Wheel We have another race car, The Porsche 956 inspired Longtail. A fun to drive Group C style car that has Traction control and stability management, not that it needs them. With a top out of 220mph, it is both fast and quick off the line making it ideal for endurance racing.

Dimensions:
Width: 13.1 ft
Length:18.7 ft
Height:5.8 ft
Weight: 2850 lbs

Engine:
1x 838lb V6 sending 558 hp and 635 ft-lbs of torque to the rear wheels at 5769rpms via a five speed transmission

Trivia
-The color scheme is inspired by the Rothmans Sponsored 956 driven by Jochen Mass and Stefen Bellof, a car that set a record lap at the famed 20.832 km (12.93 mi) Nürburgring Nordschleife at 6:11.13 during qualifying for the 1000 km Sports Car race in 1983.
-The 956 created enough downforce to, if it were fitted with an aerobatic aero engine, drive upside down.

can't wait to drive it? check it out here!

Third, 6wheel comes back at us again with the Muska. A European racing Trike, The Muska is a Tuk-Tuk from hell with its top speed of 114mph it is very slippery even with its driving assists.

Dimensions:
Width: 5.7 ft
Length: 8.1 ft
Height: 5.8 ft
weight: 1080 lbs

Engine:
1x 200lb V2 motorcycle engine producing 126hp and 138 ft-lbs of torque sending power to the rear wheels at 6000rpm through a 4 speed transmission

Fourth, By Exosuit we have the Oxlift. Designed after the Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane, The oxlift incorporates powerful engines with a lift magnet for all your massive cargo needs.

Dimensions:
Rotorspan: 66.8 ft
Length: 90.8 ft
Height: 27.4 ft
Weight: 9210lbs to 10906 lbs without cargo

Engine:
1x 1323lb turboshaft sending 13500 shp to the main rotor and 305 hp to the tail rotor

Lifting capacity: 10000kg

Fifth, by Mod this time, It's the return of the P-51D, sporting a flashy color scheme. With it's modified engine it's capable of 50 degree climbs and a top speed of 460mph at altitude.

Dimensions:
Wingspan: 34.5 ft
Length: 31.1 ft
Height: 13.2 ft
Weight: 10239lbs to 10649lbs

Engine:
1x "V12M" 1737 lb V12 sendind 2140hp and 8461 ft-lbs of torque to the prop at 1661 rpm.

Weapons:
6x guns
8xHVAR unguided rockets

Trivia:
-It's color scheme silver belle is inspired by the 84th Fighter Sqd, 78th Fighter group. It's also fitting for the season as Silver Bells is a Christmas song.
-there are two versions of this plane, the other has no additional ordinance but flashes the colors of the 487th fighter Sqd, 352nd Fighter group.
-It's engine happens to be the weight and perfprmance of not the Rolls Royce merlin, but the Griffon engine, which powers many mustangs used in air-racing.

Sixth by Shizzle Styx Who let the Harrier, X-29, and F-16 have a threesome? Based on the BAE P.1214, and Rocking the beginnings of a sick albeit unfinished paint scheme is the twin boom, X-wing VTOL capable Peregrine, Named after the lake going Falcon. This Marine corp attack jet comes ready to provide combat air support with a solid loadout and decent performance, capable of 770 mph at altitude and fully loaded vertical takeoff. It also has loads of flight options to customize your flying experience.

Dimensions:
Wingspan: 34.1 ft
length: 49.2 ft
Height: 13.8 ft
Weight: 14189 lbs to 19583 lbs

Engine:
2x 1235lb Blasto Vtol engines in tandem configuration producing 13489lb of thrust each.

Weapons:
2x gatling cannons
2x Viper 186 lb infrared air to air missiles
2x Starstreak 278 lb active radar air to air missiles
4x Boom25 250 lb bombs
4x Razorbill 872 lb Laser guided air to ground missiles

Trivia
-the second aircraft to use simplplanes 1 engines.

Seventh and lastly, by Mod again we have TWO planes that are both An... Artistic take on the Culver PQ-14, a WWII target drone that could also be flown from the cockpit. But these drones shoot back!
Sisters to each other, The Peanut painted in US pre WWII navy colors, And the Vogel, Painted after a German WWII fighter plane, making them a perfect pare for fun little dogfights, although both feature fixed tricycle landing gear. They are both Tiny, but surprisingly easy to fly, love to climb and are very agile. making them a perfect pare for fun little dogfights. At 10000 ft assuming they are unpressurized they have a top speed of around 195mph

Dimensions:
Peanut Vogel
Wingspan: 8.2 ft 16.4ft
Length: 11.6 ft 12.3 ft
Height: 5.9 ft 4.9 ft
Weight: 470lbs to 770lbs 489lbs to 715lbs

Engine: Both utilize 1x 55 lb 125 horsepower blade T1000

Weapons:
Both utilize 2x nose mounted machineguns firing through the propeller.

Trivia:
-Peanut is the name of a group of cartoon characters associated with Charly Brown his dog Snoopy. Fitting for the cartoonish look of the planes. Peanut scale is also a classification of model planes that are very small and light weight, mostly being around 1:48 scale and smaller and most often being either control line or remote control.
-Vogel is the word for 'little bird' in German

@Mrcooldude I'd also like to include pictures but I can't find an image hosting site that won't delete the pictures after a mounth

@Mrcooldude yes I know, they're not finished. I have a tendency to post them and then go back and add details, especially if I plan on linking them to my page and keeping them up permanently. Things I would like to edit are certain measurements and I would like to add the scale of each build if it has an irl counterpart.
