every time I try to open the new simpleplanes 2 Playtest for my brother it says he has to download the app even tho when downloading on steam it made and application and shortcut on his computer any ideas on what's going on?

Mine does too, but it’s just a glitch, as @TheLoadingGorilla said.
I’d just try to ignore it. Even though it’s so tempting to click the “Play now” button… oh so tempting… click AHHH NOOO! I clicked it…
@Gubby you’re not alone, I saw this too and got all excited. It’s a glitch or an accident of some kind because they obviously don’t want us playing the play test right now
